Players will be able to purchase land in the persistent universe and build houses. It will be possible to transfer and/or copy characters from the online world to the offline mode, but the reverse will not be possible in order to reduce the possibility of characters using exploits entering the persistent world.Ĭharacters will not be limited to a class chosen at character creation. There are also intended to be a variety of a multiplayer modes allowing the player to play with the other players he or she chooses to.

Shroud of the Avatar will be playable both as an offline single-player game and as a online single or multiplayer game with a persistent world. The developers of Shroud of the Avatar are promising to deliver games focused upon role-playing rather than level grinding, allowing avatars to take on the classic role of an adventurer or instead taking on the role of an explorer or even homesteader.
